While we’ve come a long way, this is really just the start. As our success so far has been led by our community of plant lovers, we decided to give our customers the chance to become shareholders.

  • What is crowdfunding?

    • Crowdfunding is where a large number of people pool their money together to back a business they believe in, via an online platform. More information on crowdfunding can be found here. We are equity crowdfunding, which means that each investor will receive a share in our business, which carries the potential to make a profit when the business is sold, as well as exclusive rewards.

  • What about rewards?

    • We offered exclusive rewards to our investors depending on size of their investment:

      £10+: Chance to win plants for life 🌱
      As an investor, you’ll become a Patch shareholder. To thank you, we’ll enter you into competitions to win plants for life and the chance to name a Patch plant (after a loved one – or yourself, no judgement). You’ll get a membership to the Patch Plant Club, which gives you early access to new products and exclusive offers, and we’ll throw in free delivery on your next order.

      £100+: Exclusive Patch swag 👜
      Invest a little more and you’ll get all of the above; PLUS free delivery for three months and exclusive Patch investor swag, because everyone loves swag.

      £1,000+: Limited edition Patch pot 🤩
      At this level, you’ll get all of the above; PLUS free delivery for a whole year and a limited edition Patch pot (launching in 2020). We’ll also say great things about you around the office.

  • What about Brexit, will that affect Patch's supply chain?

    • Even in a no deal scenario, there are no plans to stop plants at the border for checks. Although we are expecting delays at the border due to more general checks being made, it's not plants that will be stopped.
      We are however, planning for a 24-hour delay at the border by increasing the storage space for plants onsite at a dedicated ‘Brexit space’ just 500 metres away from our London sorting office, preventing delays significantly impacting our customers.
      Certain plants species will need extra checks (e.g. olive and citrus trees), but these checks can be made directly in our warehouse by DEFRA. We have been doing this for olive trees for over six months now, so we are familiar with and accustomed to this process.
